I recently purchased the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish after all of the hype from many different bloggers. I wanted to do a "first impressions" blog on it as I haven't been using it for that long. I've been using it for about 5 days, both day and night and so far I'm loving it! I bought the 50ml pump starter kit - £8.75 to try it out just incase I didn't like it. The kit comes with a 50ml pump (ofcourse haha), a 30ml tube of the cleanser and two muslin cloths. The cleanser has a very nice scent, one of those ~expensive~ creamy scents (don't have a better way of describing it haha) but it really is lovely. The cloths aren't too rough on the skin and they are really good for cleaning away all the oil, dirt and most importantly eye make-up!
I don't really know what type of skin I have. I thought I had oily skin as my t-zone tends to be more oily but I've been to various make-up counters and they say I don't have oily skin. In my opinion I would say I have normal/combination skin as it's not dry or overly oily but I have spots. I bought this cleanser mainly for my spots. I don't have acne as such, I just tend to break out around that time of the month so I have "hormonal acne".
In terms of my spots I haven't seen a dramatic improvement but you can't expect that from using it for just 5 days! I haven't had a break out since using it and my skin tends to react quickly so this is a good sign! In terms of blackheads and some whiteheads I have/had on my chin, the cloth and cleanser has really helped! I notice that my skin is smoother using the cloth as I only usually use my hands to wash my face.
I have high hopes for this cleanser! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has spots/oily skin or just looking for a lovely cleanser. I will update in the future and let you know how I get on with the cleanse and polish.
x
